BLOB HOTEL - BLOBOGRAPHY
Despite the exodus of a drummer at the eleventh hour and backstage dramas, Blob Hotel battled on to make their live debut. Hemorrhaging a bassist after the gig, they soldiered on as a three piece for one final appearance, in a support slot in nearby Lewisham in early 1990. With the remants of the live band brought together for one last album, (1992's "Lifetime in a Teatime" featuring original Sex Pistols producer Dave Goodman) , Tingley started on his most ambitious album so far, "Wishing Thinking", which collapsed under it's own grandiose plans in early 1994. After an aborted stab at the Eurovision song contest, Blob Hotel filmed their final promo video in 1995, bowing out with "Key West". Having exhausted all "residents" (there were an estimated 11 in all!) , it was time for a change. Blob Hotel shut down without any formal announcement. However, with the launch of the new mircrosite within Wilberweb, and the inclusion of songs in the Wilberforce live setlist, Blob Hotel now have the chance to broaden their audience for the first time in years. This has opened up the possibility of a proposed "best of" album being released sometime in the future, marking their CD debut.
