GOOSEBERRY
|
We went on a holiday
They say three is a crowd
Though we had a pleasant stay
For one of us it turned sour
He's a gooseberry
A gooseberry
Popped out and when I got back
He sat in my chair
He's playing with her hair and she doesn't like it
What was he thinking?
He's a gooseberry at the bar
A gooseberry in the car
Oh what a gooseberry!
And it's all because he's jealous of our love
He shadowed our every move
Oh how he looked sad
He made us feel bad
Was he grabbing our attention deliberately?
He's a gooseberry in all but name
A gooseberry
What a shame that a gooseberry
Has to try and muscle in on our love
Lady luck blessed our love
When the following evening came
We all went out for a chinese
Suddenly he broke into a sweat
We couldn't help but feel secretly very pleased
He took no protection from the sun
Leaving us alone to have some fun!
He's a gooseberry left in the dark
A gooseberry
The empty heart of a gooseberry
Shivelled up from the midday Spanish sun
He's a gooseberry
A gooseberry
Oh what a gooseberry!
And it's all because he's jealous of our love
